Wikinomics in the music industry

1.  Wikinomics refers to four theories coined up by Don Tapscott which are Openness to new ideas, peering which is an example of peers preferring the lone super-star stock adviser e.g.Virgin Media has blamed an unnamed peering network for crippling its broadband service, particularly at peak times, for some folk" , sharing ideas with other people allowing creativity to spread  and acting globally.

2.  Examples of peering in the world of media are file sharing websites such as Bid torrent and video uploading sites such as Youtube and Megavideo where people have the power to illegally download music and videos to their files or even become famous celebrities like Justin Beiber who was discovered throughout his Youtube videos by a talent manager and has since become on of the most popular singers in the world with the video "Baby"  becoming the most-viewed video on Youtube of all time for 5 years until Gangham Style topped it.

Democratised can come from receiving sites such as IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes where all the top critics can post their reviews as an alternative to the newspapers, Blogs can reach to almost anyone in the world throughout their comment pages where they can state their opinions.  People can do almost anything with the Internet such as communicate with their friends on Facebook and share music, videos and images with them as well. Another example is  Groove shark where you can listen to music for free, You can also upload videos onto Youtube, Images on deviant art, and reviews on IMDB, all which support the theory of thinking globally.
